Read the status correctly
Law, guidance and enforcement are not interchangeable.
A clear status label prevents an authority FAQ, a national law and a marketplace seller instruction from being treated as if they carried the same legal meaning.
What we do not call an update
Noise does not belong in the compliance file.
A business owner needs to know whether an operational obligation changed. They do not need every article, conference statement or industry prediction.

We publish an update when a binding rule becomes applicable, an official authority changes its interpretation or operating procedure, a national compliance system changes, or a marketplace introduces or changes packaging EPR enforcement.
No. Commentary, consultations and general news do not automatically change the compliance obligation. We distinguish binding measures, official guidance, national implementation and actual marketplace enforcement.
Effective law establishes the legal obligation. Guidance explains how the European Commission or another authority interprets or applies selected provisions. Guidance does not amend or replace the binding legislation.
Packaging EPR remains operationally country-based. Producer registers, EPR systems, authorised representative rules and reporting procedures can change independently in each Member State.
